Sustainable food packaging

Sustainable food packaging is the use of packaging which is more environmentally friendly. AU FOOD has recently increased its activities on sustainable food packaging and established an EU COST action within sustainable packaging and activities on sustainable food packaging strategies. Associate proffesor ph.d, Merete Edelenbos will talk about different elements of sustainable food packaging: Material properties, material use, the shelf life of packaged food, food waste, and consumer perception exemplified by results on sustainable packaging of fresh fruit and vegetables.
