By Steven Pulver, University of Western Ontario, Canada
My name is Steven Pulver and I've spent the last three weeks at Agro Food Park. I'm a second year law student from the University of Western Ontario. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada.
I was fortunate to have been offered a position to research and discover potential opportunities for World Food 2050 -- a proposed annual agriculture event to be hosted in Aarhus, Denmark.
I participated in various meetings with the university, the local government, startup companies and large organizations. In the end, I delivered a presentation, which included my perspectives on the project. I hope to be able continue with the project upon returning home to Canada.
The experience was great from a practical point of view and I was able to gain an international insight into business, marketing, and culture.
Aarhus is truly an amazing city. While, the city centre is bustling with action, a lot of the area is filled with amazing walking and bike trails, picturesque landscape, and great people. I lived at a residence very close to Agro Food Park and learned the bus system very quickly.
I was able to travel as well. One weekend I was in Berlin and another in Copenhagen. In my final weekend, I visited the western part of Denmark and had the chance to experience Denmark’s beautiful coastline.
I want to thank Bodil, Soren, Bjarne, and Tina and all of those I met along the way for a great experience.
